O'Donnell, Ersberg sign contract extensions with Los Angeles Kings

LOS ANGELES - Defenceman Sean O'Donnell and goalie Erik Ersberg agreed to contract extensions with the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday.

O'Donnell, 37, agreed to a one-year extension. He has 10 assists and 56 penalty minutes in 63 games this season. Ersberg is 8-9-4 as the backup to Jonathan Quick.

Ersberg, originally signed by the Kings as a free agent in 2007, agreed to a two-year extension.

The Kings find themselves closer to last place than to the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
