ARLINGTON, Va. - Alex Ovechkin is ready to return to the Washington Capitals' lineup.
The team says the NHL MVP and goal-scoring leader will face Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday.
Ovechkin missed one game - a 2-1 loss to Toronto on Thursday - with a bruised heel after getting hit on the skate by a puck during practice.
But he has gone through Saturday's full practice with the Southeast Division-leading Capitals, who have lost their past three games.
The Penguins are on a five-game winning streak.
