Pat Verbeek Named Anaheim Ducks GM
Pat Verbeek has officially been named the sixth GM of the Anaheim Ducks.
Verbeek, 57, has been the assistant GM with Detroit since 2019-20 after previously working alongside Steve Yzerman in Tampa Bay.
Verbeek was a fearless player during his NHL career, recording 1,063 points and 2,905 penalty minutes in 1,424 games over 20 years. Verbeek won the Stanley Cup in 1999 with Dallas and a gold medal with Canada at the 1994 World Championship.
Bob Murray stepped down as Anaheim's GM in November after 13 years with the team amid an investigation into abusive behavior. Jeff Solomon had assumed the interim GM duties.
