NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The Nashville Predators will
try to rebound from a disheartening home loss when they host the
Los Angeles Kings on Saturday.
Nashville, which is 1-3-0 in its last four games, jumped out to
a three-goal lead over Calgary on Thursday before the Flames
stormed back with five unanswered goals in a 5-3 victory.
Defenseman Greg Zanon, captain Jason Arnott and Jordin Tootoo
each recorded a goal in the second period, but the Predators'
defense let them down again. Nashville has allowed five or more
tallies in each of its last three losses and has allowed the
third-most goals in the league (27).
"This one hurts double because it is a home game, and it is
against a team we will be battling with all season," Nashville
coach Barry Trotz said. "We had them on the floor, but we
couldn't knock them out."
The Predators must improve their play at home, where they have
just six games remaining between now and December 4. Nashville
is just 1-3-0 away from home, after going 18-18-5 last season.
Los Angeles has won three of its last four games - including a
4-0 victory over St. Louis on Friday. Jason LaBarbera stopped
15 shots for his fourth career shutout and Dustin Brown had a
goal and an assist.
The Kings, who went 4-4-0 vs. St. Louis last season, are 10-5-0
with three ties all-time in Nashville.
