Predators owner advises NHL not to consider sale to Jim Balsillie

The Nashville owner has reportedly sent a letter to the NHL advising it to no longer consider Balsillie as a prospective owner of the team.

TSN reported that Leipold cited the absence of a finalized sale agreement and Balsillie's desire to move the franchise to Hamilton as reasons for his decision.

Balsillie and Leipold announced in late May that they had agreed on a sale worth $220 million U.S.

Since then, Balsillie has started taking deposits on tickets in case the franchise was moved to Hamilton.
