Jonathan Quick is headed to the New York Rangers on a one-year deal worth $825,000 as part of the opening day festivities of free agency.

Quick, 37, split last season with the Los Angeles Kings and Vegas Golden Knights. He recorded a 16-15-6 record with a 3.41 GAA and .882 save percentage in that span.

Those are tough numbers for an NHL goalie, but Quick improved slightly when he went to the Knights at the trade deadline, with a 3.13 GAA and .901 save percentage.

In his 753 career games of NHL experience, Quick has a 375-277-84 record with a 2.47 GAA and .911 save percentage. In the playoffs, he has 49 wins and 43 losses with a 2.31 GAA and .921 SP, as well as three Stanley Cups and a Conn Smythe Trophy to his name.

Quick is expected to back up elite Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin this upcoming season. We'll see if he has any juice left in the tank, but the Connecticut native now comes closer to his hometown as he continues the later stages of his NHL career.
