    With more than 36 million votes tallied, the NHL announced the players voted into the All-Star Game in Toronto while also revealing the first 10 players who will participate in the skills competition.

    Thatcher Demko of the Vancouver Canucks received the most votes in the fan vote, followed by William Nylander of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Cale Makar of the Colorado Avalanche. Canucks players Elias Pettersson, J.T. Miller, and Brock Boeser were also voted in, along with Nylander's teammates on the Leafs, Mitch Marner and Morgan Rielly.

    Rounding out the players joining the mid-season showcase through the fan vote is the Edmonton Oilers' Leon Draisaitl, while the rest of the goaltenders include the Florida Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky, the Colorado Avalanche's Alexandar Georgiev and the Boston Bruins' Jeremy Swayman. the game takes place on Saturday, Feb. 3 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

    With voting closed for the All-Star Game fan vote, there are still two spots to be determined for the skills competition. Fans can visit NHL.com/vote to select two skaters from the current All-Star Game roster, or they can head to X (formerly Twitter) to comment the player's full name or handle along with the hashtag #NHLAllStarVote.

    Here are the first 10 players named to the NHL All-Star Skills event, taking place on Friday, Feb. 2:

    - David Pastrnak, Boston Bruins

    - Nathan MacKinnon, Colorado Avalanche

    - Cale Makar, Colorado Avalanche

    - Leon Draisaitl, Edmonton Oilers

    - Connor McDavid, Edmonton Oilers

    - Jack Hughes, New Jersey Devils

    - Nikita Kucherov, Tampa Bay Lightning

    - Auston Matthews, Toronto Maple Leafs

    - William Nylander, Toronto Maple Leafs

    - Elias Pettersson, Vancouver Canucks
