Would the Canadian team like to have Sidney Crosby leading the way in Czechia? Absolutely. But a veteran of the NHL and the international game, such as Crosby, has certainly earned the right to take a pass.
In the absence of such veteran presence, Canadian GM Rick Nash has doubled, tripled and quadrupled down on youth. Even if they don't win a gold medal, this team should be a ton of fun to watch.
