Report suggests Islanders have deal in place to trade Bill Guerin to Eastern contender

According to Newsday, the Islanders have a deal in place for veteran Bill Guerin to trade the 38-year-old to an Eastern Conference contender.

Guerin, who has a no-trade clause and would have to OK any potential swap, was a healthy scratch from last night’s 2-0 win over Buffalo.

According to a source quoted in the Newsday report, the team is not the Bruins or Devils.

Meanwhile, is reporting Guerin is not on the ice with the team for practice Sunday morning.
