Report suggests Islanders have deal in place to trade Bill Guerin to Eastern contender

According to Newsday, the Islanders have a deal in place for veteran Bill Guerin to trade the 38-year-old to an Eastern Conference contender.

Guerin, who has a no-trade clause and would have to OK any potential swap, was a healthy scratch from last night’s 2-0 win over Buffalo.

According to a source quoted in the Newsday report, the team is not the Bruins or Devils.

Meanwhile, islanderspointblank.com is reporting Guerin is not on the ice with the team for practice Sunday morning.
