According to reports, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner was a victim of a carjacking outside of a movie theater on Monday evening.

According to reports from multiple Toronto-based outlets, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner was a victim of a carjacking outside of a movie theater on Monday evening. 

Local police confirmed there was a carjacking without any injuries, but no other information was given out.

Police said three suspects – two with guns and one with a knife – approached the car before taking off with it in the area of Cineplex Cinemas Queensway.

"We can confirm Mitch Marner was the unfortunate victim of a carjacking in Etobicoke on Monday evening," the Maple Leafs' PR account wrote on Twitter. "He was unharmed in the incident and the Club & Mitch are thankful for Toronto Police Services’ support. Anyone with information is asked to reach out to Toronto Police Services."
