An extremely scary moment in Dallas Monday night as Stars forward Rich Peverley collapsed on the bench in the first period, while play was ongoing.

Paramedics were immediately brought over to aid Peverley and the Stars-Blue Jackets game was halted.

Peverley has had heart issues in the past. In September, he had to miss three weeks after "undergoing a procedure to correct an irregular heartbeat." And he had to miss last Tuesday's game against Columbus due to the same issue.

Peverley was conscious on his way to hospital and Columbus media are reporting that Lindy Ruff told Blue Jackets head coach Todd Richards that the Stars forward was going to be OK.

The NHL announced that tonight's game would be postponed until a later date.
