Robin Lehner in Danger of Missing Rest of 2021-22 Season

Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Robin Lehner is in danger of missing the remainder of the 2021-22 NHL season, reports say.
Robin Lehner

The Vegas Golden Knights have a goalie problem.

With the team in danger of missing the post-season for the first time in franchise history, The Athletic's Jesse Granger reported that goaltender Robin Lehner could be forced to miss the rest of the season for what Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli said is related to a knee injury.

Lehner was sent home by the team last week in the middle of a road trip after returning from a separate upper-body injury. Lehner played in four games in the short-lived return.

Vegas is currently working with Lauren Brossoit and Logan Thompson as the team's goaltending duo. Vegas holds the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference, but just three points ahead of Anaheim four spots below them. A season-ending injury to Lehner would put the team in a tough spot to make the post-season, although the upcoming NHL trade deadline could offer the team an opportunity to shore up the crease.

Marc-Andre Fleury, anyone?
