

According to reports from Russia, 19-year-old junior hockey player Nikita Mokeyev was killed in a car accident, his team confirmed.
Mokeyev was driving his car on the Orenburg-Kazan highway when he lost control trying to pass another car. Mokeyev and his one passenger crashed head-on into an oncoming truck.
The passenger is still in hospital, but Mokeyev was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Mokeyev spent three years in the Russian junior league, recording 17 points in 97 games with Reaktor Nizhnekamsk.
