It's no secret that there's no love loss between former Pacific Division rivals Anaheim and Dallas, but the hate meter got even higher after Ryan Garbutt speared Corey Perry at center ice on a line change.

The nastiness continued Friday night as the Ducks-Stars series shifted back to Anaheim.

Ryan Garbutt speared Corey Perry at center ice for all to see midway through the first period of Game 5.

Garbutt received a five-minute major and a game misconduct. Perry went to the dressing room after the spear.

Dallas has made a point of targeting Anaheim's two stars, Ryan Getzlaf and Perry, in the series. In Game 3, Antoine Roussel went after Getzlaf, despite Getzlaf nursing a severe facial injury after taking a Tyler Seguin slap shot in the kisser in Game 1.

Getzlaf missed Game 4 in Dallas but was in the lineup for Game 5 in Anaheim.
