Sergei Bobrovsky goes post-to-post for outstanding toe save
Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky hasn't had the best season of his career, but he can still make a highlight-reel save like no one else can. With eight minutes left in Tuesday's game against Anaheim, Bobrovsky robbed Ducks center Rickard Rakell with a brilliant post-to-post, split-legged toe save.

He's been injured, the Blue Jackets have struggled and his numbers -- a 2.78 goals-against average and .917 save percentage -- are the worst they have been since he left Philadelphia in 2011-12.
However, no matter how bad a season, Bobrovsky may be able to hang his hat on the fact he can still makes saves few goaltenders in the league would dream of. Tuesday night against Anaheim, he made a post-to-post save that's sure to be on end of season highlight shows. The save was a game-saver, too. With Columbus up 4-3 on Anaheim and just eight minutes remaining in regulation, the Blue Jackets needed the save from Bobrovsky to lock up the victory.
Bobrovsky's stop was one of 37 he had to make on the night as the Anaheim Ducks bombarded the Blue Jackets. However, Bobrovsky's was zeroed in Tuesday night, leading Columbus past Anaheim by a final score of 5-3. The Blue Jackets mustered only 27 shots to Anaheim's 40.
Unfortunately for Bobrovsky, no matter how great he is down the stretch, the Blue Jackets have no chance at making the playoffs barring a collapse of catastrophic proportions by the litany of teams ahead of them in the Eastern Conference standings. When next season rolls around, though -- and if the Blue Jackets can stay healthy and Bobrovsky plays like he has shown he can -- Columbus can get right back to playoff form.
