Stars sign former Blues defenceman Jeff Woywitka to two-year deal

DALLAS - The Dallas Stars announced that they have signed free-agent defenceman Jeff Woywitka to a two-year deal.

A statement released by the Stars on Tuesday says the deal is worth US$600,000 next season and $700,000 for the 2010-11 season.

The 25-year-old Woywitka had three goals and 15 assists in 65 games with the St. Louis Blues last season.

In 152 career NHL games, all with the Blues, the six-foot-three, 217-pound Woywitka had six goals and 29 assists.
