Stenberg plays his best when the games matter most, exemplified by his performance at the world juniors, helping lead Sweden to gold. He finished second in tournament scoring at the world juniors, but the concerns about his off-puck game and defensive engagement were only highlighted on the biggest stage in junior hockey. The charge of aggravated assault was withdrawn, but he still faces a misdemeanor charge for simple assault, which has not been proven in court at this time.
