    HAMILTON, Ont. - Texas scored four times in the second period and Richard Bachman made 17 saves as the Stars shut out the Hamilton Bulldogs 5-0 in American Hockey League action Tuesday.

    Andrew Hutchinson, Aaron Gagnon, Trevor Ludwig and Mathieu Beaudoin scored in the second period to blow the game open for Texas (30-18-7). Warren Peters scored in the first for the Stars, while Hutchinson and Raymond Sawada each added a pair of assists.

    Cedrick Desjardins started for Hamilton (34-14-8), but was pulled after the Stars' third goal at 7:17 of the second. Desjardins finished with 17 saves.

    Curtis Sanford went the rest of the way for the Bulldogs, stopping 15 of 17 shots.
