Pregame intros set the tone and the vibe in an arena before puck drop. Every NHL team has one, but some do them better than others.

Let's look at 10 teams leading the way in the NHL for pregame intros.

    Vegas Golden Knights

How can you start with any other organization in the NHL?

From Day 1, the Golden Knights have embraced over-the-top elements with their pregame intros. With each passing year, they become more and more elaborate.

Before Tuesday night's season-opening game against the Seattle Kraken, the defending champions raised their Stanley Cup banner to the T-Mobile Arena rafters in the most Vegas way possible as it emerged from a giant slot machine at ice level.

The intro to start the 2023-24 season follows up what the team did just a few months earlier to start the 2023 Stanley Cup final.

No one outdoes it like the Golden Knights.

    Seattle Kraken

The newest franchise in the league also understands the importance of an introduction that pumps up fans.

Since 2021, the Kraken has also gone over the top with their pregame intros, which included players being used in dramatic roles and one of the coolest things, a Kraken tentacle breaking through the ice.

Going over the top has been a staple for the latest expansion teams.

    San Jose Sharks

The San Jose Sharks have long had a reputation for being one of the best markets to watch a game in, especially when it comes to the post-season. Their intros have always been top notch, with players skating through the Shark's mouth and even local Bay Area celebrities taking part in the intros.

Take a look at how the SAP Center got ready for Game 3 of the 2016 Stanley Cup final, the first time the arena saw Cup final action.

More recently, the lights in the stands and Shark head remains as part of a sparkling introduction.

    Montreal Canadiens

With the history the Canadiens have, how could they have not made this list?

Last season, the now-114-year-old Habs franchise recalled some memorable moments in the pregame video with spotlights circling around the ice and stands and the logo waving at center ice.

But whenever the Canadiens make the playoffs, the team takes its opening shows up a notch to elite status with a familiar tradition that cranks up the heat.

    Winnipeg Jets

When the NHL returned to Winnipeg in 2011, we all saw a city show how much it missed having a team.

While the team had new logos and jerseys, Jets 2.0 picked up right where Jets 1.0 left off for playoff traditions. And for pregame introductions, the Jets wouldn't have made this list without the fans.

Seeing fans make Canada Life Centre as hostile as can be with the whiteout in full force is one of the coolest things to see in the sport.

    Toronto Maple Leafs

Another team with a historic past has found ways to make its opening shows something you don't want to miss, no matter the season.

Lights fly around the stands, on-ice projections take the presentation to another level, and videos combine past and present.

    New York Rangers

It's "the world's most famous arena," after all. Do their pregame shows live up to the reputation? We think so.

First of all, Madison Square Garden doesn't joke around with its on-ice projections. The Rangers also satisfy the nostalgia factor while hyping up fans for the future. And then to top it all off, Baba O'Riley by The Who introduces the players to the ice.

    Carolina Hurricanes

Of the NHL's Sunbelt markets that know how to make a big deal out of their team intros, the Hurricanes are right up there.

We know how they've embraced fun after games with the Storm Surge. But before games, the team knows how to make a spectacle of games. Huge marks go to their usage of the Scorpions song, Rock You Like A Hurricane.

Even when the Hurricanes took hockey outdoors to Carter-Finley Stadium for the 2023 NHL Stadium Series, the team brought a college football flare.

    Nashville Predators

What's not to love about the Nashville Predators and how they get ready for games at Bridgestone Arena? The Predators have taken Nashville's musical heritage to hockey and also leaned into making sure fans are involved.

Check out how they kicked off the post-season in 2019.

    Tampa Bay Lightning

The Bolts take themselves quite literally, with actual lightning bolts coming from Tesla coils and Thunderstruck by ACDC blaring out of the speakers. What more is there to say?
