The Toronto Maple Leafs announced their revamped St. Pat's jersey on Monday, which is available to use in NHL 24.
The Toronto Maple Leafs revealed the uniform they plan to wear on March 16 for the annual St. Pat's game.
The Maple Leafs, called the St. Patrick's from 1919-20 to 1925-26, have commemorated that era of their franchise history around St. Patrick's Day (March 17) by wearing a throwback St. Pat's uniform since 2017.
For this year's announcement, the Maple Leafs enlisted the help of PWHL Toronto and Team Canada forward Sarah Nurse and eSports content creator FaZe Sebastian, also known as 'CBass':
As rumored in late January, The jersey features a new crest: a shamrock with the St. Pat's wordmark, which resembles the regular Maple Leafs logo. A green stripe passes through the middle of the front part of the jersey, which has a white base and green armbands.
In past years, the St. Pat's wordmark appeared in a pill-shaped oval within the green stripe, which the franchise wore from 1922 to 1925. This time, the shamrock appears larger on the crest and overlaps the stripe.
The uniforms are available to play with in NHL 24, including in the Hockey Ultimate Team and EASHL game modes.
Toronto is expected to play in its St. Pat's digs against the Carolina Hurricanes for the second consecutive season. Last year, the Leafs beat the Hurricanes 5-2 on St. Patrick's Day.
