Unheralded captain Alffy

Daniel Alfredsson has shown once again he can play the game just as tough as any Canadian-born captain.

At the end of last season he was supposed to be out indefinitely. When his team fell behind by two games in the series to Pittsburgh, Alfredsson sucked it up and played. You could tell he was in pain and could barely skate out there, but he did it for the team.

This year, he broke his jaw and only missed one game to heal. Alffy hits and blocks shots; he is definitely not a 'soft Swede.'

It's time Alffy is recognized for his heart and dedication to his team as well as his amazing hockey skills.
