COVID-19 continues to make its impact felt across the hockey world.

Team USA has forfeited its Tuesday afternoon game against Switzerland at the 2022 World Junior Championship due to reported positive COVID-19 tests.

Such are the challenges of holding an international tournament at the height of a pandemic.

This year's World Juniors had already been hit by COVID-19 before it began, with a pre-tournament game between Czechia and Switzerland that was set to be played on Dec. 23 ultimately being canceled due to health and safety reasons.

Both teams sit at 1-1 after three days. Canada and Austria are still set for 7:00 PM ET.
