The Utah Yeti is no more.

The Utah Hockey Club's ownership, Smith Entertainment Group (SEG), unveiled a new vote for fans attending the next four home games with names, logos and branding.

Yeti is no longer an option because after exploring every avenue to make the name work, Yeti Coolers did not agree to a co-existence agreement for the trademark, according to the team's announcement. As such, SEG said it is no longer pursuing Yeti for the permanent name.

The names that made the cut are the Utah Hockey Club, Utah Mammoth and Utah Wasatch. Fans attending the games can take part in the survey.

Utah HC and Mammoth were included in the previous round of voting, which featured six names. Wasatch is a new option created to "honor the idea of a mythical snow creature with a Utah-centric approach inspired by the Wasatch Mountain range," said the announcement.

In other words, their own version of a Yeti. The Wasatch Mountains span from southern Idaho to central Utah and are the backdrop of Salt Lake City.

Despite the trademark hurdle, the team is expected tor reveal its permanent name before the start of next season.

Utah sits sixth in the Central Division and six points back of the Calgary Flames for the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference.
