Cam Fowler quietly went about his business during his first season in the Ontario League. The resident of Farmington Hills, Mich., registered eight goals and 55 points to help guide the Windsor Spitfires back to the Memorial Cup Championship.

Although his 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame might indicate he’s a physical player, it’s his foot speed and vision that make him so effective. He also gained valuable experience while playing for team USA in the 2010 World Junior Championship.

Heading into the NHL draft, Fowler is ranked fifth by NHL Central Scouting and third in The Hockey News 2010 Draft Preview. THN.com’s Rory Boylen caught up with Fowler during the Spitfires’ post-season drive.
