After playing eight years of professional hockey in Europe, Leo Komarov started the 2012-2013 season with the Toronto Marlies of the American League with hopes of becoming a full-time member of the Toronto Maple Leafs. When the lockout finally ended, Komarov got his big league shot.

The Leafs sixth round pick in 2006 has become an instant fan favorite due to his relentless work ethic and ability to frustrate opponents.

THN’s Adam Proteau spoke with the Leafs winger about his first season of NHL hockey, dealing with the media in Toronto, his responsibilities with the club, and more.
