    When asked at the 2010 NHL Entry Draft who they thought would be the first overall pick, top prospects Gabriel Landeskog and Jonathan Huberdeau replied, “Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.” They were right, as the Edmonton Oilers selected the Red Deer Rebel center to join Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle, and Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson as part of an exciting young forwards corps. Nugent-Hopkins, only 18, might follow Hall’s footsteps and go straight to the NHL, but for now, Oilers fans are just happy they have ‘The Nuge’ in the pipeline.

    THN’s Ryan Kennedy caught up with the Burnaby, B.C., native at the NHLPA Rookie Showcase in Toronto to talk about his decision to wear No. 93, dealing with the media spotlight and much more.
