After having to step down as coach just over a week before competition began due to an injury suffered from a fall, Hockey Canada has announced that Claude Julien will return to the bench starting with the team's meeting with the United States on Saturday. Jeremy Colliton will coach Canada's opening game against Germany before resuming duties as an assistant. Julien, a former bench boss with Montreal and Boston, is a Jack Adams Award winner and Stanley Cup champion, taking home the former prized hardware in 2009 before going on to earn his Cup ring with the Bruins in 2011. Julien was an assistant with Canada at the 2014 Olympics and 2016 World Cup, winning gold in both events.
