Who will be the next captain of the Ducks?

Pat Verbeek and Greg Cronin said leadership is needed on the team. It appears a new captain will be appointed imminently - or at least by the time the season begins. 
Previously, Verbeek suggested waiting until someone had earned it and that the next captain would be someone who will be here for a long time, which would seem to let out any of the older players, but this past season may have changed his mind.

So, who will it be? Who should it be?
