Carlsson will be thrown into the fire against Dallas, facing off against Roope Hintz and the Star's first line, one of the best in hockey.
Anaheim Ducks forward Leo Carlsson returned to practice on Tuesday after missing nearly two weeks due to injury and the team confirmed Wednesday that he will make his NHL debut on Thursday against the Dallas Stars.
At practice, Carlsson was centering Trevor Zegras and Troy Terry and that's where he is expected to start on Thursday.
He was also playing the net front position on the top power-play unit.
Carlsson will become the third-youngest Duck to make his NHL debut.
Carlsson will be thrown into the fire against Dallas, facing off against Roope Hintz and the Star's first line, one of the best in hockey.
After a strong preseason, Carlsson looks ready for the jump to the NHL.
The Ducks are coming off a strong performance against the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday and will be looking to continue that against the Stars.
Carlsson can be a catalyst for an improved season and Thursday will be the first look at the Carlsson-Mason McTavish one-two punch up the middle for Greg Cronin.
