It should be an interesting season for Anaheim...

The Anaheim Ducks are about to start a new season that will be filled with more expectations than in the years prior. While this team won’t be expected to reach the playoffs, the biggest thing that anyone wants to see is improvement. They were the worst team in the NHL last season, so there really is nowhere to go but up. With new head coach Greg Cronin now leading the charge, he is going to have his hands full with all of the young talent on the roster. He is going to need to find different ways to get them going this season, and the key will be how he relates to the players. Cronin has had experience coaching at different levels, but this is his first chance at being the top guy. It should be fascinating to watch play out, and the Ducks are excited to see what he can do.

In other Ducks-related news, the team wants to resign restricted free agent Trevor Zegras to a short-term deal to maintain roster flexibility down the line. John Gibson may have the worst contract on the Anaheim roster and at some point, the Ducks may have to make some tough choices on their depth.
