If Gibson leaves, where does that leave Anaheim?

As the offseason has gone on, we have heard less and less about what is going to happen with long-time goalie John Gibson. The Anaheim Ducks netminder reportedly wanted out of Southern California earlier in the summer, but it’s been dead quiet since. Maybe the veteran saw the offseason moves that the team made and has decided to stick it out. After all, he has been with the organization a long time and just wants to win. Anaheim signaled with the signings of some more veteran players that they want to get this rebuild started already. Gibson would give them a legit option in net each time out, so the hope is that he stays with the Ducks for the upcoming season.

In other Ducks-related news, Trevor Zegras remains unsigned as a restricted free agent. The team recently added more depth to the overall roster, and Anaheim continues its plan to get back to the postseason by looking around the league for a potential star player.
