IRVINE, Calif. - The Ducks’ bye week has concluded, with the final day of it technically being today, but no team is going to come out of the bye week with just a morning skate before their first game.

Tomorrow, Anaheim will take on the Edmonton Oilers in their first game of the second half of the season. The Oilers just had their 16-game winning streak snapped at the hands of the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday night.

The practice lines were as follows:

The sighting of Pavel Mintyukov is a welcome sign. The rookie defenseman suffered a separated shoulder at the beginning of January and was initially expected to miss six weeks.

It doesn’t appear that he’ll draw in tomorrow against Edmonton, as he rotated with Gustav Lindström as the defensive partner to Cam Fowler during practice. But a return to the lineup seems feasible for the upcoming Canadian road trip.

Alex Killorn was also on the ice on Thursday, although he headed off before practice began. Killorn underwent arthroscopic knee surgery just a couple of weeks ago and was expected to miss four to six weeks. A return to the lineup for him appears to be a bit further away for him, perhaps closer to the end of this month.

It looks like Max Jones will make his return to the lineup tomorrow after missing the past month with an upper-body injury. The Ducks still need to activate him from injured reserve, but have the roster space available to do so—as well as activate Mintyukov—after reassigning Olen Zellweger to AHL San Diego.
