IRVINE, Calif. - The Ducks were back on the ice for practice following their 5-3 loss last night to the Edmonton Oilers. So too was Mason McTavish, who was unable to play due to an upper-body injury. However, John Gibson–who left the game with a lower-body injury–was not on the ice.

The practice lines were as follows:

The only tweak from last night's lineup is the addition of McTavish, who slides into the role that was occupied by Bo Groulx. Groulx moves down to play wing on the fourth line with Isac Lundeström retaining his role at center.

While the line of Jones-Lundeström-Silfverberg didn't appear on the scoresheet, they did a lot of good work down low. They were able to effectively cycle the puck for portions of the game and didn't concede a ton of chances against either.

Their line finished the game with the highest expected goals for percentage (xGF%) at 5v5 among all four of Anaheim's lines with 77.5%, per MoneyPuck.

Pavel Mintyukov continues to grow closer to returning to the lineup, taking part in his third consecutive practice–which includes yesterday's morning skate.

"Good," said Mintyukov when asked how his recovery and rehab process has been for the separated shoulder that he suffered last month. "Everybody is supportive and they are here for me every day. They've really helped."

Mintyukov and fellow countryman Ilya Lyubushkin–who was acquired this past summer from the Buffalo Sabres–have been essentially attached at the hip since the rookie defenseman officially made the opening night roster. No other skater comes close to the amount of ice time that Mintyukov has played alongside Lyubushkin.

"It's good to have a Russian (teammate)," said Mintyukov. "He invites me to his home all the time. Just doing things together, it helps to have someone to talk in the same language with."

With a few days before their next game and the start of a four-game road trip, the probability of him getting back into the lineup before their next home game on Feb. 21 seems high.
