He coached Edmonton’s AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors, for four seasons between 2018 and 2022, with a record of 105-71-21. He led the Oilers to a conference final in 2022, months after replacing Dave Tippett as head coach, and a conference semi-final in 2023. It is assumed that Woodcroft will be responsible for the forwards and power play in Anaheim. The Ducks had the league’s worst power play in 2024-25, producing at an 11.8% clip.
