Being on an expiring contract, Matt Dumba is a player on the Coyotes that has been involved in trade rumors.

The Arizona Coyotes are expected to be a team that sells at the upcoming March 8 NHL Trade Deadline.
With the Coyotes close to the bottom of the Western Conference standings, it makes sense for them to potentially trade players on expiring contracts.
One player who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this upcoming summer is defenseman Matt Dumba.
The 29-year-old has been the latest member of the Coyotes to be involved in a trade rumor.
“I do think Arizona is committed to moving on from him... He is a player that makes sense for the Maple Leafs,” Chris Johnson said on TSN’s Insider Trading.
In 56 games, Dumba has four goals, five assists and nine points while playing 20:35 minutes pergame.
The Maple Leafs have always been a bit weaker on the defensive side of the puck, so adding some extra depth before the playoffs seems to be a priority for them.
General Manager Bill Armstrong has not specifically said that Dumba is available, but he would be the most likely candidate to be moved due to his current contract situation.
Dumba signed a one-year, $3.9 million contract this past summer and has served as a top four defenseman all season long.
