There has been some speculation on what name the new Utah NHL team will hold and here are some potential options.

What name will the new NHL team in Utah go by?
With the Arizona Coyotes officially relocating to Salt Lake City, there has been a ton of speculation on what the team’s new name will be.
Ryan Smith, the owner of this new Utah franchise, outlined an interesting plan on how the name will ultimately be chosen.
“We’re doing a bracket,” Smith said on The Pat McAfee Show. “We’re gonna take this down from like eight all the way down and the fans are gonna vote for this,”

There have been multiple trademark applications for possible team names related to Utah filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office including the Utah Blizzard, Utah Venom, Utah Fury, Utah HC, Utah Hockey Club, Utah Yetis, and Utah Outlaws.
There is one thing that Smith did make clear about whether the team will go by Utah or Salt Lake City.
“We’ll start with Utah on the jersey and we’ll figure out the logo and everything else and what it is that we are,” Smith said via The Associated Press. “We’re going to be Utah either way. We have the first part of the name. We don’t have the last.”
According to ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski there will be an NHL Utah fan event scheduled for Wednesday where Coyotes hockey personnel and players will meet the public in Salt Lake City for the first time.
