Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports - Jack McBain and Coyotes Still Apart in Arbitration Files

There is an update regarding Jack McBain’s contract situation with the Arizona Coyotes and arbitration hearing.

    Arbitration Files:

Team: $1.2 million cap hit (two years)

Player: $2.25MM cap hit (one year)

McBain's salary arbitration hearing is set for July 30. In most of these cases, a third-party arbitrator helps negotiate a fair contract between the expiring restricted free agent and the team.

McBain was originally drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the third round of the 2018 NHL Draft but was traded to the Coyotes for a second-round pick on March 22, 2022.

The 23-year-old center had 12 goals, 14 assists and 26 points in 82 games for Arizona this past season.
