The Boston Bruins have announced that Marc McLaughlin has been sent down to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Providence Bruins.
McLaughlin, 26, was placed on waivers by the Bruins on Sunday. Now that he has cleared waivers, he will be heading back to Providence.
McLaughlin has appeared in 12 games this season with Boston, where he has two goals and a minus-1 rating. He also started the 2024-2025 season with Providence, posting five goals and 10 points in 15 games. This included a five-game goal streak before getting recalled to Boston's roster in November.

McLaughlin will now look to impress during his latest demotion to Providence. If he does well, it could open the door for him to receive another call-up before the season ends.
