The Buffalo Sabres late comeback against the Boston Bruins in Game 1 of their first-round series was improbable to say the least, as the home squad trailed 2-0 late into the third period before Tage Thompson scored a pair of goals 3:42 apart to tie the game. Less than a minute later, Mattias Samuelsson put the Sabres ahead for good and the thousands of fans watching the game outside KeyBank Center went bonkers, to the point that they knocked down the metal barricades.

The weather was cold (in the 30's) and even snowy in April, and with warmer temperatures expected on Tuesday for Game 2, the attendance at Canalside should be bigger.
