

The Buffalo Sabres swung a trade Saturday, sending defenseman Connor Clifton and the 39th pick in the 2025 draft to the Pittsburgh Penguins for blueliner Conor Timmins and minor-leaguer Isaac Beliveau. As we've argued, this trade is the dictionary definition of a minor swing at the plate. And it could ultimately be nothing more than a salary dump by Sabres GM Kevyn Adams.
