The Toronto Maple Leafs have traditionally not been successful playing in Buffalo over the Sabres 56-year history, but the Blue and Gold's Atlantic Division rival loves when the Queen City hosts the NHL Draft. 

Buffalo hosted the 2016 Draft, and the Leafs, after finishing last and winning the lottery, selected Auston Matthews. The Sabres are hosting the 2026 Draft next month, and in spite of having only an 8.5% chance, Toronto won the draft lottery for the second time in a decade. Unless they trade the pick between now and next month, the Leafs will be selecting first overall.
