The Buffalo Sabres have promoted events for the fans who could not get into the KeyBank Center for their first playoff games in 15 years, including watching the game on a big screen at Canalside that borders the arena, and a pregame Party In The Plaza. The highlight of that event can only be described as mannequin abuse, which started earlier this month when the Tampa Bay Lightning returned for a key contest and fans punched a mannequin wearing the jersey of Lightning forward Brandon Hagel.
For Games 1 and 2, the target of such fun and frivolity has been Bruins team president and Hall of Famer Cam Neely, who famously fought Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff in a 1988 playoff game.
