Buffalo Sabres 2021 second-rounder Prokhor Poltapov is potentially on the club's radar late this season or at the start of the 2027-28 season, depending on when CSKA Moscow's year ends.

Thus far, Poltapov is tied for the club lead with five goals, and has eight points in 13 games.

Sabres sign Ostlund to eight-year contract extension.
