Who is the best Sabre to wear #6?

The Buffalo Sabres are in their 56th season and have a storied history. The club has 15 players who have been inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, and many others who deserve recognition. Over the next few weeks, we will be looking at players in Sabres history by their jersey number, ranking the top three players to wear that particular number.
The top three who wore #6 in team history are all defensemen: Jim Schoenfeld, Phil Housley, and Bob Boughner.
Schoenfeld was a hard-hitting defenseman, known for shot-blocking and defensive abilities, who served as team captain during the 1970’s before being traded in a massive deal with Detroit in 1981. Housley was a slick-skating offensive blueliner who is the career-leading point leader in Sabres history with 558 points before being traded to Winnipeg for Dale Hawerchuk in 1990. Boughner was a former Detroit draft pick who played for Ted Nolan in junior and the Sabres acquired him from Florida in 1996. He compiled 494 penalty minutes in 177 games over three seasons before being claimed by Nashville in the 1998 expansion draft.
