Longtime Buffalo Sabres and Rochester Americans winger Brett Murray spent six seasons in the organization before signed with the Nürnberg Ice Tigers in the DEL, but his stay in Germany lasted just one year, as the 27-year-old signed with the Shanghai Dragons (formerly the Kunlan Red Star) of the KHL. Murray played 26 NHL games with Buffalo, registering all six of his career points (2 goals, 4 assists) in 2021-22.
