Alexander Mogilny scored the most goals in a single season for the Buffalo Sabres (76) in 1993, eclipsing the club record set by Danny Gare in 1980. Gare scored 31 goals as a rookie in 1975, playing on a line with Craig Ramsay and Don Luce.

Buffalo would go on to win the series in six games and advance to their first Stanley Cup Final against Philadelphia.
