The Buffalo Sabres made 11 selections at the 1995 NHL Draft, but other than their two first round picks, none of them played an NHL games for the club. The Sabres did hit on their two first round picks, selecting defenseman Jay McKee 14th overall and goalie Martin Biron two picks later. McKee played 10 seasons in Buffalo, making the Stanley Cup Final in 1999 and the Eastern Conference Final in 2006 before signing with St. Louis. Biron played seven seasons with the Sabres, taking over from Dominik Hasek in 2001 and after the emergence of Ryan Miller, was traded to Philadelphia in 2007.
