May 8, 1998: Geoff Sanderson scores two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, as the Sabres beat the Canadiens 3-2 in game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

May 8, 2006: Ryan Miller stops 43 shots and Jochen Hecht scores the game-winning goal in the Sabres’ 2-1 victory against Ottawa as Buffalo takes a 2-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
