The Buffalo Sabres are in their 56th season and have a storied history. The club has 15 players who have been inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, and many others who deserve recognition. Over the next few weeks, we will be looking at players in Sabres history by their jersey number, ranking the top three players to wear that particular number.

The top three who wore #25 in team history are: Terry Martin, Dave Andreychuk, and Owen Power.

Martin was a 1975 Sabres draftee who played three seasons with Buffalo, but never repeated the success he had as a rookie. He went on to play for four other NHL clubs and scored over 20 goals with Toronto in 1981 and 1982. Andreychuk was one of three first-round picks in 1982 and played a decade with the Sabres, scoring 30 goals or more in seven seasons. He was traded to the Leafs in 1993, where he scored 50 goals in consecutive seasons. He later rejoined Buffalo in 2001 at the age of 37 and scored 20 goals. Power was the Sabres top overall pick in 2021 and has posted three good offensive campaigns, with a career-best 40 points (7 goals, 33 assists) in 79 games last season.
