The Buffalo Sabres are in their 56th season and have a storied history. The club has 15 players who have been inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, and many others who deserve recognition. Over the next few weeks, we will be looking at players in Sabres history by their jersey number, ranking the top two players to wear that particular number. Since less players have worn higher numbers in the club’s history, we will look at a range of numbers.

The top two who wore #62 through 63 in team history are: Tyler Ennis and Brandon Montour.

Montour was acquired from Anaheim in 2019 and was not given much of an opportunity to contribute from head coach Ralph Krueger. After parts of three seasons, the blueliner was moved to the Florida Panthers for a third-round pick, where he was a driving force into getting the Panthers to the Stanley Cup Final in 2023 and winning the Cup the following season. Ennis was a late first round pick in 2008, who made the Sabres after a strong AHL season at the end of the 2009-10 season. In eight seasons in Buffalo, the diminutive winger scored 20 or more goals three times, before being traded to Minnesota in 2017,
